Here you'll find interviews with Wisconsin activists, conducted by WGN Chair Rev. John Stanley. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things. How did that happen?  They began by caring about something and wondering what they could do about it. They started small. They did what they could. It's that simple.

Our democracy is under attack. It needs each of us to do what we can. 

The Raging Grannies of Madison are women of a certain age, dressed in pin-covered aprons, flowery hats, and an occasional shawl, whose mascot is an angry crocheted uterus named Ursula, and who sing songs of social justice whenever they're invited....and sometimes, when they're not. Like the activists interviewed above, the Grannies bring a wide variety of experience and expertise to their activism. They also bring a sense of fun and a fierce passion to create a world habitable for and nurturing to everyone's children and grandchildren.

The videos below were taken at a celebration of senior activists, namely the Silver Badgers hosted by Brix Cider, the Mount Horeb Area Progressive Trolls, SouthWest Wisconsin Area Progressives, and the Silver Badgers: all ordinary people with the power to rescue our democracy!
