About Us

Rev. John Stanley is currently WGN Chair. He and Ginny Brokish, WGN Treasurer (see photos), serve as Festival Co-chairs. The Annual Grassroots Festival is the primary focus of the WGN. In 2024, our 15th Annual Grassroots Festival has the theme Our Future, Our Choices: Rural and Urban Together. 

Working closely with our organizational partners and allies across the state, we are confident that the 15th Annual Wisconsin Grassroots Festival, hosted by Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, will be a milestone. We have well-known speakers,18 breakout sessions, entertainment, and more. We will blend traditional formats with new ones, bring rural and urban interests to the same table, and reach out to young people as well those who have been with us for years.

Our volunteers and allies are our greatest asset. We hope that you’ll decide to join them and us by becoming a member of the Wisconsin Grassroots Network. There is no charge for membership. As we honor our past, we warmly invite you to become part of our future.
